RESOURCE - Cell Phone Bans While Driving

Your ability to drive a motor vehicle can be impaired by things other than drugs or alcohol. Holding a conversation on a cell phone can be as impairing as a blood alcohol level that would result in criminal charges if you were caught. Some provinces in Canada realize this and have take steps to ban talking or texting on a hand held cell phone if you are driving.

The CBC News web site has created a map of Canada showing which provinces are forward thinking and have implemented the ban, as well as areas in other countries of the world.
